Bun B Schools Us On W.E.B. DuBois’
Tomorrow is the last day of Black History Month! It’s important that we as a people educate ourselves about the past and try and leave the world a better place for the next generation. W.E.B Dubois’ predicted that race was going to be a big issue in the future. Fast forward to today and racism and division is plaguing the United States and the world. People are still marching and fighting for justice, for people like Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and Mike Brown. The Oscar Award show was even scrutinized for it’s lack of diversity and as a result experience a decline in viewership.
Bun B Schools Us On W.E.B. DuBois’

W. E. B. Du Bois compiles multiple essays on the subject of race in his book The Souls of Black Folk. He discusses the differences in how black people view the world compared to how white people view it. He touches on historical significance as part of his arguments. Cultural differences of the black community are also important themes in his essays. Du Bois uses this collection of essays to try to describe what it is like to be a black person living in America at the beginning of the 1900s. He believes that race will be a large issue in the coming years for people in the United States.

The purpose of Bun B’s course is to draw the similarities between religion and Hip Hop. He states they both are trying to do the same thing; help people go through this journey we call life. Let me know what your opinions in the comments.
HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!
