One of THE absolute funniest viral videos – to me at least – of 2014 was one of Andrew Caldwell, better known as the gay guy who had been “delivert”! During a visit to the Church of God in Christ’s Holy Convocation Convention in St. Louis, Caldwell claimed to have felt the spirit. He’d announced, “I’m not gay no more. I am DELIVERT,” he screamed. “I will love a women.” Well, as we all suspected, his love for men remain.

It’s been MONTHS since the release of that video, but Caldwell continues to step in the light. 15 minutes turning into 16. The guy reached out to NBC 12 and opened up about his deliverance. “God should deliver me more,” he exclaims to anchor, Chris Thomas. The not-so-delivert fellow admits that; he’s not delivert. “No, that’s not the case…I still have desires” for men.

Caldwell was asked if his actions were some sort of ruse. “I was serious,” he replied. “I did not want to go viral. I did not expect that to go viral. I did not want to get up there and just say anything and look crazy in front of thousands of people.” He admits that he was pressured because of what was said by the speaker before him – a guy who called gay men ‘sissies’ and said that they should bleed out of their rectal.

“As presiding bishop of the Church of God in Christ,” said Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. “I apologize for what seemed to be a harsh, uncompassionate, disrespectful spirit on the part of that speaker. I also apologize to Andrew Caldwell. We love all people regardless of their faith or their moral standing.”

While this is a serious topic, I believe this dude is crying out for attention. Anyone in his position who feels as though their life is in danger – months after you’ve been forgotten – also calls out MORE attention in order to stop attention, is asking for attention. The video still was funny as hell.
