Leonard Nimoy who famously played Mr. Spock died at his Bel-Air home on Friday morning after battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Leonard Nimoy announced last year that he was battling the disease and caught it from years and years of smoking. He had stopped smoking 30 years before his death. Leonard Nimoy checked into UCLA medical Center last week for intense chest pain but was eventually released .

Leonard Nimoy started playing Mr. Spock when the Tv Show debuted back in 1966…that’s before a lot of your parents birth , can you say Legend ? Mr. Spock is the only character from the film who appeared in every episode of the original television series. Leonard Nimoy continued in the Spock role through most of his movies including the most recent reboot of the film some years back in 2013.

Leonard Nimoy was famously known for Star Trek but that wasn’t the only thing the TV star ventured in. Leonard Nimoy wrote books of poetry , two biographies and even recorded albums .
