Ludacris Better Than Your Favorite Rapper?

Be it movies, television, business deals or whatever else this Atlanta native has piled on to his resume over the years he wants one thing clear…definitely do not get it twisted! Ludacris Says “I Will Destroy Your Favorite Rapper” and knows exactly how to handle his business in that booth, on a stage and in front of that mic!!!

Christopher Bridges had a recent interview with Vibe where his alias Ludacris Says “I Will Destroy Your Favorite Rapper” among tough but real talk. Aside from the upcoming Fast and Furious 7 film debut and the odd results of the Hip Hop driven Justin Bieber roast, Luda’s been “Beast Mode” prepping the Hip Hop world for the landing of his 8th album-return in “Ludaversal,” giving us a tracklist and album art with just over a week till the drop. What he’s concentrating on is the moment in front of him and not let multi-tasking completely take over his craft as an artist:

“There’s this stereotype that when individuals from music start acting, they forget about the music. Don’t get it twisted: I know what got me where I’m at today…I’m in competition with new artists as well as the ones that have been in the game as long as I have… I love the energy.”

…aaaaaight! Well energy is what he’ll need as Ludacris Says “I Will Destroy Your Favorite Rapper” and there’s a lot of tight favorite’s out here. In the ATL alone there’s a new breed of rap in the form of Young Thug, Migos, Rich Homie Quan and a bundle of others who’ve shifted the landscape. Of them he says, “it’s definitely something that still inspires me, even if it’s not necessarily my type of music. I hear the hunger and the tone in their voice and I love their creativity and artistry.” As far as the actual record, Luda says he’s not playing catch up. He insists this is a more personal work and all the time off has only helped him get inspired and weed out for only the best:

“There was a point where I felt like I was spreading myself too thin by doing too much sh*t, so I kind of just narrowed it down to loving this music and picking and choosing the very good movie projects. I have some other stuff going on that you’ll hear about in the future. But definitely not too many things at once. I need to focus on the things that are most important and protect their integrity.”

Well raise a glass to focus and integrity!–One we always hear about and the other not so much… Read the full interview here for more on Ludacris Says “I Will Destroy Your Favorite Rapper” and how 2015 is fitting to unfold for the rapper-actor-celebrity!
