The West Coast representer turned global superstar and businessman has his eyes set on conquering television. It was only a few days ago the world got wind to his guest appearance on FOX’s Empire, now what’s on the table is Snoop Dogg In Talks With HBO For 80s Inspired Family Drama. Vibe and Deadline report the show’s concept will be based on the life of a family living in Los Angeles in the 1980s:
“…the original program’s concept will look at the effects of American politics on this family’s community and their personal lives.”
Snoop Dogg In Talks With HBO For 80s Inspired Family Drama and the show is so far untitled, though word on the web is writing will be anchored by Rodney Barnes–known mostly for his work on the iconic illustrated series The Boondocks. The BUSH album general and head-dog-in-charge spoke publicly about the project and its possibilities at SXSW, anticipating pride at getting a show like this, by visionaries like this, on a major screen:
“HBO is the number one network in the world as far as developing and having these types of shows come to life. This is a dream come true to be able to tell a story that’s going to be told the right way on the right network.”
