The Roots, Erykah Badu, A$AP Rocky and More Headline The Roots Picnic Festival being held at the Philadelphia Festival Pier this May 30th. XXL reports Hip Hop’s number one live band will be in rare form as Rae Sremmurd, DJ Mustard, The Weeknd, Atlanta’s up and coming artist Raury, New York’s Bishop Nehru and Afrika Bambaataa (whoa, #legendary) also join the line-up!!! And there’s still more to that list…
It’s definitely dope to see The Roots, Erykah Badu, A$AP Rocky The Roots Picnic Festival since its also the 8th year and obviously going strong. The Roots have been as much a part of underground musicianship, the growth of Hip Hop’s versatility, backing band to nearly everyone in the business and critically acclaimed–with 5 Grammy awards (for what it’s worth) among other stunning accomplishments. You can of course catch fresh living history every night as they’re the house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
