Talks about a rift between teammates LeBron James and Kevin Love continue to heat up.  From LeBron reportedly calling out Kevin to Love saying he and James aren’t best friends, the reports seem to be true.  Love also picked Russell Westbrook over LeBron for this year’s MVP award.  Here’s LeBron’s response to that.

“I don’t really think too much of it, really,” James said after Cleveland Cavaliers practice on Tuesday. “I don’t really get involved in that. I think the voters are going to decide who is the MVP. I think what Russ has been doing, his numbers have been pretty crazy keeping those guys afloat in the West in his play. Steph Curry can make a case, for sure, what he’s been doing — James Harden and myself, as well. So, Kevin has his own opinion of who he believes is the MVP. No one should fault him for that.”

Pretty diplomatic answer but we all know how much LeBron cares about winning that award.  Still he’s right, you can’t fault Love for his opinion; with Russell Westbrook’s numbers he’s definitely been making a case for himself as the MVP especially with the Thunder’s star player Kevin Durant being out and battling in the tough Western Conference.
