The Game was caught on tape punching an opposing player during a Pro-Am basketball game. The victim was later revealed to be an off-duty LAPD officer. Game says the officer struck him first and threatened him, revealing that he had a gun his bag. The incident is still under investigation by the police but Game has already received his first punishment as he’s been suspended from the JBL Basketball League.
The Game got slapped with much more than a foul for punching a basketball opponent because the hoops league just suspended the rapper until cops and the D.A. decide his fate.
TMZ Sports spoke to Jester Black, director of the JBL Basketball League and according to him, The Game is persona non grata for the time being. He says, “I spoke to Game and told him that as of now his team can participate, but he can’t be on the court until the investigation is done.”
Black says Game can’t even sit on the bench or participate in team huddles, but he can watch from the stands.
As for the police investigation The Game could be in big trouble since he’s seen on the tape punching the cop first. He’ll have to prove the cop indeed threatened him with a gun in which the cop will find himself in hot water.
