Today the case is wrapping up in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial in the death of his friend Odin Lloyd.  Hernandez is charged with one count of murder and is also facing five weapons charges.  Initially there appeared to be surmounting evidence against Hernandez but today his lawyer dropped a bomb!

During his closing statements, Aaron Hernandez’s attorney suggested that Aaron was a witness in the Odin Lloyd murder and did not pull the trigger.  Not only that, the killer was apparently someone he knew.

“He was a 23-year-old kid who witnessed something, a shocking killing, committed by someone he knew,” Aaron’s lawyer said.

Hernandez has been moved to a holding area — and on his way, he mouthed “I love you” to his fiancee.
