Someone is in the midst of a comeback with a new dream team; again. While the media is in her favor – due to her separation from Nick Cannon – Mariah Carey announces that her breakout comeback will include public relations specialist Chris Chambers of the Chambers Group. Chambers has worked with artists such as Lil Wayne and Drake. Now, the butterfly darling herself is a notch on his belt. The mother of Dem Babies allowed the news to break one day after her old publicist, Cindi Berger decided to go their separate ways.

According to Billboard, Carey is not only switching up her PR team, but new management are new faces as well. Homegirl is changing management like it’s a pair of panties. In 2013, she ran through three teams alone – this being her fifth since – but due to the terrible album sales of Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse, it had to be done this go ’round. TV producers Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov will help Carey with the new projects that she has coming up.

On May 6, she begins a Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace, the same venue where Celine Dion will return on Aug. 27 after a year-long hiatus. Also expected later this year is a newly repackaged greatest-hits set called #1’s, the first release in her new deal with Epic, to accompany her Vegas show. She also has a Christmas movie on the horizon, according to Deadline. Among other chart feats, Carey ranks second to The Beatles in time spent at No. 1, 79 weeks total, and still holds the record for longest-running Hot 100 No. 1 single for 1995’s “One Sweet Day” with Boyz II Men, although she hasn’t had a Top 10 single since 2009’s “Obsessed.”
