Oh no this does not look like its going to pan out well for these students. Last night dozens of students at Indiana’s Westfield High School were performing a musical rendition of “American Pie” when the stage gave and collapsed sending 2 dozen students falling dangerously into the orchestra pit. It is still unclear how many students were involved but 16 were hospitalized. A dozen and more are injured and at least one is critically injured. A student who was involved in the catastrophe sent out a tweet claiming he was released with a concussion. The status on the rest injured are still unreported although sources say the there were so many victims they had to be sent to multiple hospitals. St. Vincent reported three patients at its Indianapolis location and ten at its Carmel hospital. Five patients who are 18 years old are in good condition; the conditions of eight patients under 18 are unknown (due to privacy regulations).

Two patients went to the Riverview Health Emergency Department on their own and are currently being evaluated for their injuries. IU North treated one patient, who has been released.
