IFWT_James_Holmes_Trial

James Holmes has had quite the physical appearance since his name hit media outlets three-years-ago. From the wild and crazy orange hair and bulging glassed eyes, to and individual with a clean, cut and shaven beard with specs for vision, this killer has taken on another role.

Guilty, but NOT Guilty – by reason of insanity. Holmes, has admitted to the shooting and killing of 12 and injuring of 70 individuals who attended the premiere showing of the Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, in Aurora, Colo. almost three years back. Now, his trial begins Monday morning, April 27, with his attorneys hoping to get him off on the “psychotic episode” that persuaded him to commit the heinous crimes. “Nobody who isn’t nuts would do this,” former prosecutor Bob Grant says. “So that’s a hurdle the prosecution has to overcome.”

The Jury:

that made the cut
The collective of 19 women and five men chosen for the jury include a retired Army ICU nurse, an explosions expert, a plumber and a former victim’s advocate in Aurora. These jurors are expected to spend at minimum the next five months in the Arapahoe County District Courtroom dealing with what Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler calls “a roller coaster ride in the most horrific haunted house you can imagine.”

that didn’t.

Juror 737 was close to Columbine High School shooters Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris until 8th grade, when their relationship faded. But he ended up taking a girl named Rachel Scott to prom their senior year. Just a week later, Scott was gunned down by Klebold and Harris on the school sidewalk.

Juror 535 told the court her niece was in the Columbine cafeteria when the pops sounded above her. Teacher Dave Sanders told her to run. She did. So did he, but he went toward the bullets which would eventually kill him.

I would love to have a front-row seat of this story, because I pretty much have my mind made up of where Mr. James Holmes should spend the rest of his life. Your thoughts?
