Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have been the topic of many conversations this past regular season and for good reason too. The Hawks had a pretty impressive regular season with a franchise record of 60 wins and 22 losses but it seems they have been running into some roadblocks with the Brooklyn Nets.

Having such a dominant regular season, many expected the Atlanta Hawks to at least cruise through the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs but that has not been the case. Although the Hawks did win the first two games at home, the Nets have been relentless in their fight to make it to the next round of the playoffs.

Tonight, the Hawks fell to artistry at the point guard position that Deron Williams presented. He dropped 35 points against the Hawks at home and evened up the series to 2-2.

Deron Williams Finessing The Hawks…

Where does this leave the number one seed, Atlanta? I, personally, have not been sold on the Hawks–despite their regular season record–mainly because I have never seen this squad go deep into the playoffs. And it looks like my concerns were confirmed in this series against the 8th seed, 38-44 Brooklyn Nets. I do, however, think they will win this series but its pretty much downhill after that as they will have the face a champion in Paul Pierce and the Washington Wizards.
