The Dallas Mavericks season ended last night after enduring a lost to the Houston Rockets, sending home to go fishing. Well it looks like Rajon Ronndo’s seasons ended after game 2 of that series, as it is being reported that Rondo and the mavericks parted ways after Rondo was benched and it was announced that Rondo would miss the remainder of the playoffs with a sudden back injury, that appeared out of no where.

Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News is tweeting out that Rondo will not be receiving a playoff share, which Jered Dudley of the Milwaukee Bucks commented that ‘he never heard of a player not receiving a playoff share.’

Rondo was the supposed missing piece to the Dallas Mavericks title contention, after he was acquired from the Boston Celtics at the trade deadline earlier this year. But after publicly bumping heads with coach Rick Carlisle, he never seemed to mesh with the team and his offensive struggles seemed to hurt the team.

When Carlisle was pressed by the media on wether he felt Rondo would return next season, he blatantly said, “no.”

The Los Angeles Lakers have been a team that are expected to try and sign the 29-year-old point guard during free agency, but only if he is willing to meet their price.
