Kyrie Irving

After Derrick Rose hit an INCREDIBLE shot to put his Chicago Bulls up 2-1 in the second round of the playoffs, the Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard, Kyrie Irving, revealed that he’s been playing with an injured foot that he suffered in the first round matchup with the Boston Celtics

With kevin Love out for the postseason after injuring his shoulder, the Cav’s can little afford to suffer anymore injuries if they want to win a championship, so Irving revealing that he’s injured seems to be a big blow. Especially after shooting 3 for 13 with 0 assist in the Cavaliers game 3 lost to the Bulls.

“I have been trying to get treatment since then,” Irving said. “I just have to stay ready to play. There are no excuses. And I have to play through it. … Tonight, I’m not hanging my head nor using a bad foot as an excuse.” “I’m staying out there for my brothers, I can be a decoy, set screens and do whatever I can to help us win. I just have to get treatment and come out and play.”

With Iman Shumpert also experiencing a groin injury, it seems that more responsibility falls on the shoulders of Lebron James to lead his team to championship, which seems like a big mountain to climb considering his team is down 1-2 to a talented Chicago Bulls team.
