The Documentary, Iverson, was originally debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014 but Showtime will now be picking it up for airtime. Allen Iverson is arguably one of the most influential players to come into the NBA so it is fairly easy to see why Showtime would pick up the documentary.

Viewers can expect the documentary to cover the great points as well as the not so great moments of Iverson’s career. The main focus of the documentary will cove how A.I rejected the normalcies that were known in the NBA and will show how he transformed the entire look of the league by wearing baggy clothes, flashy jewelry, and made the league tweak the player’s dress codes and codes of conduct. The documentary also covers views of those that were on the outside looking in. For instance, the Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade is interviewed in depth about various topics surrounding the changes that A.I forced on the David Stern and the league.

Viewers can tune into Showtime on May 16th at 9pm to watch the documentary. It will then be available On-Demand the following day, May 17th.
