Last week, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony hit up Indianapolis, Indiana to perform their second album E. 1999 Eternal in its entirety at the Vogue Theatre. The concert was the beginning of their celebration for the 20th anniversary of the album’s release. Although Layzie didn’t make it, Krayzie, Bizzy, Wish and Flesh Bone spoke with BET about the album’s impact on hip-hop today. They showed love to the younger artist’s who have showed them love over the years.

“I gotta show love to the dudes from this generation that’s been showing love,” said Krayzie Bone. “Which is Wiz Khalifa, which is Drake, Which is Lil Wayne, which is Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, A$AP Mob. There’s a lot of young dudes that understand what it is and people always talk s**t about these dudes but these are the guys that respect and pay homage to where the art came from.”

“On that note,” Wish Bone added. “Lil Wayne, we waiting, n***a let’s get in the studio. Let’s do it n***a! We f**k with you.”

Bizzy Bone also spoke about their most proud moment of their career. They revealed that it was keeping Eazy-E on their album after they considered taking him off for not speaking to them.

“I’ll be honest with you my proudest moment of the record was when we didn’t know Eazy-E was as sick as he was and we all stood up and said ‘We’re gonna take him off of a couple of songs if he doesn’t talk to us.’ Little did we know he was sick at the time. So my proudest moment was with us at that time making that decision as far as E. 1999 Eternal, but now in retrospect everything Eazy-E was a part of on that record turned out to be such a blessing because we get to look back on it and say, ‘We didn’t even know. We didn’t know he was sick,’ And it gives us a moment to reflect on his love. So that’s my proudest moment that every night we get to do a tribute for Eazy.”
