It is still very unclear as to what exactly happened to lead up to Far Rockaway rapper Chinx’s tragic death this past Sunday, but his friend/Coke Boy affiliate who goes by the name T-Bird helped us to understand the events leading up to his death. Prior to the shooting, Chinx was doing a performance in Brooklyn at the Red Wolf, where the Irvington rapper met up with him. They took pics together right before the show let out, just minutes before Chinx’s silver Porsche was punctured with bullet holes. Just minutes before I went to sleep, the photo of Chinx and T-Bird was the last thing I saw on Instagram for the night, so in the morning I was scared that he was also in the car when I got the heart-wrenching news. Luckily T-Bird stayed in Jersey and was able to help us piece together more of what happened prior to things getting ugly on Queens Blvd. and 84th Rd.
After the horrific news of Chinx’s passing became public, T-Bird posted a picture of the two taken literally minutes before the murder occurred.
T-Bird captioned his photo:

Chinx told me @fastlane_fid @chasefetti to come to the studio but we was tired so we headed back to jersey. I woke up to tons of missed calls because people were making sure I was ok because they thought I was in the back of the car with Chinx. The next day, I met up with T-Bird, his manager Wonder, Tsu Surf and V. Cha$e at the studio while they finished recording an unreleased track they have with Chinx. They have a serious banger on their hands and I cannot wait for it to drop so you can all hear it.
This entire situation is extremely depressing and is a serious loss for the Hip-Hop community. May Chinx rest in peace forever and may he watch over his kids and protect them.
