A 14 year old boy was shot dead this morning on the 1100 block of Sheridan Avenue in the Bronx. Police are still investigating. More details after the jump.
Around 8:30 this morning the boy was shot three times, twice in the stomach and once in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body laid out on the concrete while police searched the area for the suspects and more clues.
Witnesses claim the shooting came after an argument between the victim and two others. According to authorities the victim is associated with a local gang and already has several prior arrests.
The suspects fled the scene, but one person has been picked up and is being questioned. No arrests have been made at this time.
The boy’s identity has not yet been made public by police.
