Alchemist was a guest of the inaugural episode of ‘ItsTheReal’ podcast called ‘A Waste Of Time’. The Hour long interview shed light on a bunch of different topics from zux cord DJ’s, to Trader Joes in comparison to Whole Foods and other top supermarkets. The Alchemist did recall the creation of one of his most memorable beats of his very credited career, Jadakiss “We Gonna Make It.”. The Alchemist detailed the making of the classic hip hop beat from its beginning , when it was originally supposed to be for Nas.

One of the more interesting sides of the story, was that The Alchemist played the beat for Jay Z, but Hov never jumped on to it. Apparently Jay z was a big fan of the Alchemist and his work and loved the beat for “We Gonna Make it” but he never actually got around laying any verses on it.
