After McDonald was arrested for a domestic violence dispute and then released by the Chicago Bears, McDonald finds himself in trouble with authorities again after he violated a restraining order that stemmed from his prior arrest monday.

McDonald has been under scrutiny since being suspended for the entire 2014-2015 season after his first case of domestic violence back in August of last year.

After being given a 1-year contract by the Bears in the Offseason, McDonald became estranged in another case of domestic violence which lead to his immediate release and forfeiting the 1-million+ on his contract.

McDonald was issued a straining order after his incident monday, but police were later notified that McDonald violated the order after being found in a Santa Clarence residence. Mcdonald was later arrested in a restaurant.

McDonalds attorney says that his client was never issued a restraining order but was told to stay away from his fiancee.

“Today my investigator contacted her and confirmed that she was in Santa Cruz,” Defilippis told Anderson, “and Ray went over to the apartment to meet the investigator to let him in so that he could get photographs of this allegedly broken door, and lo and behold the cops show up and arrest him.”
