When rappers come together by using their talents for a bigger purpose it is something to be talked about! Rapper Juelz Santana is calling all rappers to come out for a benefit concert in honoring the late Chinx.
Lionel “Chinx” Pickens was recently laid to rest in Queens, New York surrounded by all of his family and friends. Even through everyone has said their goodbyes, it just wasn’t enough. Chinx’s friends wanted to do more for Chinx because of his untimely death. Leaving behind a wife and children, friends of Chinx feel they deserve more than just “I’m sorry for your loss” and flowers.
Juelz and Jadakiss teamed up and are calling for all rappers to get together to throw a benefit concert for Chinx family. Julez took the idea to Instagram making a post which read:
“We need 2 do a big NYC party 4 #Chinx an all artis come out show luv have fun & make a movie. An give all the money 3 his fam… #Iminn”
Jadakiss then commented “No doubt” on the post.
What better way to honor Chinx and help his family at the same time? At Chinx’s funeral his family asked that as well as flowers, people donate money to help support the family left behind. They had a message to all friends:
“As you can imagine, in today’s challenging economic climate, losing your primary source of income can be devastating. When that loss is due to the unexpected death, it leaves a void that can never truly be filled. Instead of sending flowers, please consider helping the family fill part of the financial void. Your donations will help provide much needed financial stability to a family who deserves so much more than what they have been dealt. We cannot replace the warmth, charisma, wit, charm, and love that Chinx gave to not only his family, and friends, but also, his fans. We can however, help keep them focused on what really matters, and that is each other.

We hope that more rappers catch on and actually make this benefit concert a reality in honoring the late Chinx. #ripchinx
