It seems like rapper Kevin Gates just emerged onto the music scene and started buzzin’ immediately, but that is in fact NOT the case. He recently had a sit-down with Skee TV where Gates explained his early struggle points in his career before anyone knew who he was. He reveals that he used to pass out hard copies of his CDs to get his music heard and his movement known, just like many other rappers have done in the past. He also explains the difference between graduating to mainstream versus staying in the “gangsta rap” lane forever and not progressing.
