The other half of the splash brothers, took a knee to the head during game 5 of the western conference playoffs, and after he was allowed to continue playing in the game when doctors announced he only suffered a laceration of the ear, it was later deemed he suffered a concussion. Golden State Warriors Head coach, Steve Kerr, responded when asked if Klay Thompson would be ready to play in game 1 of the NBA finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to Steve Kerr, Klay Thompson is expected to play in game one of the finals:

“He’s doing well,” Kerr said after practice Saturday at the team’s facility.

“I’m anticipating he’s going to be there.”

The warriors could ill-afford to lose Thompson for the finals, considering he is the best perimeter defender on the team and with the hot shooting of J.r. Smith and a healthier Kyrie Irving, the Warriors need all the help they can get.

Kerr said theres a series of test Thompson must go through before he can be cleared to play.

“Klay’s disposition never changes. He’s always just mellow and he just sort of takes it all in stride. It’s good that we have this break, because he has the time to go through what he needs to get through.”
