With The NBA finals ready to start on Thursday, the NBA can not be any happier with the two most exciting players ready to face off against each other. Stephen Curry was his first MVP award this year, while Lebron James, who has already won it three times, came back to Cleveland to help bring a championship to his home town. As the reigning MVP, did Curry take away Lebron’s shine? America has spoken!
It looks like Lebron is still the King around these parts. Facebook gathered data from the start of the NBA playoffs and gathered which players caused more of a stir on social media. breaking it down state by state, Lebron James completely dominated the eastern states and gave Curry a run for his money on most of the West.
James owned at least one county in every state and swept a total of 19 states. He also lost just 14 counties east of the Mississippi River. In the state Curry calls home (North Carolina), he was the most talked-about player in just two counties.
Maybe if Curry can win a ring this year, he can snatch the crown off Lebron’s head. But then again Riley Curry is probably a bigger sensation then the both of them.
