Jennifer Lopez recently preformed at a music festival in Morroco. The singer who is never one to disappoint, pulled out all the stops for the show and it was complete with skimpy sequin costumes and provocative dancing. All this however has landed JLo in hot water with an educational group from the north African country who have slammed her with a lawsuit. More details after the jump.
When Jennifer Lopez agreed to preform at the Mawazine World Rhythms International Music Festival I doubt she planned on facing jail time by the end of it. However that’s exactly what she could be facing after the concert aired on public television. An education based group was in an uproar stating in the lawsuit that Lopez, “disturbed public order and tarnished women’s honor and respect.”
Some people were so outraged by the performance that they called for the resignation of Minister of Communication Mustapha Khalfi. He stated, “What was broadcast is unacceptable and goes against broadcasting law.”
This is not the first time JLo has performed in Morroco but it is the first time her show had been aired on TV. The singer and the promoter are being sued for the performance. If they are found guilty she faces 1 month to 2 years in prison.
