Kyrie Irving

Damn. #IFWT reported that the New Jersey native, Kyrie Irving, would be missing the remaining games in this year’s NBA Finals and potentially some early season games in the coming up season, due to a fractured knee cap. Kyrie wrote a message to fans following the announcement. Click more to check it out!

As if the Cavaliers were not already plagued by injuries this season, another injury occurred at the most inconvenient time. Kyrie Irving will join Kevin Love and Anderson Varejo on the injured Cavs list and miss the remaining games for this post season. Already injured going into game 1 of the NBA Finals, questions were raised about how many minutes he should play given the circumstances; and like clock work, he gets injured in the final minutes of the game.

Kyrie, however, seems to addresses this in his message to Cavs fans as well. I personally think his rookie coach, David Blatt, made a huge mistake in not trying to conserve Kyrie for the entire series, knowing he was not playing at 100%. Kyrie, in a part of his message says, “…I gave it everything I had and have no regrets,” and you can only expect a player at the highest stage in his career to want to go ahead and rock out despite being injured. Anything to get your team to the ultimate goal.

Where does this leave the Cavs now? King James is going to have rally his squad and get them refocused. It is as simple as that. Anything can happen and I do not completely count the Cavs out just yet!
