A 20-year-old college student has been arrested and charged with conspiring to provide material support to ISIS.
Omar Saleh, also known as “Abu Omar al-Ramli,” had been planning to detonate a device in New York City on behalf of the Islamic State.
Saleh was a currently enrolled college student and was trailed by a surveillance van before he was taken in to custody.
According to court documents, Saleh actively posted to social media about his “violent jihadist ideology” and support for ISIS.
