Indiana defensive back Antonio Allen was arrested Tuesday on charges of dealing methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine, the Indiana State Police announced.

Allen was also arrested for possession of heroin over 10 grams and cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance. He faces two counts each of dealing heroin and methamphetamine.

Indiana issued a statement saying it is aware of the arrest and that Allen has been suspended from all football activities.

“We will continue to gather facts, monitor the legal process, and take further action as the evolving situation warrants,” the school said.

After an investigation, the ISP said it used a search warrant on a Bloomington residence that resulted in Allen’s arrest. The Bloomington Police Department and the Indiana University Police Department assisted with the search warrant.

Police said Allen was taken to Monroe County Jail.

Allen led the Hoosiers with 74 tackles last season. He also recorded a sack and two interceptions.
