Ever since “Cadillac on 22’s”, David Banner has been this influential amazing lyricist. Banner participated in the relief for Hurricane Katrina and continues to be a prominent figure in the advancement of oppressed citizens in America. What are Banners thought on Hip Hop ? David Banner is actually embarrassed by the state of hip Hop!

David Banner is obviously upset with the state of Hip Hop and the lack of substance in lyrics and conscious artist. The recent events in history are a repetition, it happens over and over. Minority youth are dying constantly and rapidly. It sucks and is upsetting. David Banner talks about the lack of care about social events from Hip Hop artist. Banner believes that some artist don’t care about positive acts or bringing positive vibes to the community.

Big Krit for example, is an extremely conscious and talented artist who Banner believes doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Some outspoken lyricist don’t get as much radio play as trap artist do. Everyone knows this. Banner wants to hold Hip Hop consumers and enthusiast accountable for bringing positive vibes and displaying black people in a positive light. Also, major blogs and publications must bring more attention to positive events since stations like Fox News doesn’t. What do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree with David Banner?
