Just before the 205 BET Awards went down this past Sunday night, Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend, Safaree ‘SB’ Samuels, took to Twitter to allege that he’d been banned from attending.

“So Bet told my publicist I’m ‘banned’ from Bet red carpet, hmmm wonder why..,” the upcoming rapper wrote. “dnt recall a situation occurring w them but hey #itiswhatitis”

Many assumed the obvious following his tweet – that Nicki had decided to be Petty Wap, and keep her ex from attending an event she’d be at with her new man, Meek Mill.

Welp, Meek appeared on Sway In The Morning this week to promote Dreams Worth More Than Money, and not only did he say that the “ban” was far from the truth – he made sure to throw TONS of shade in the process. Check out the video below!
