Rick Ross’ name has been in the news for more than just music lately. Less than a week after his posted $2 million dollar bail, and then release for kidnapping, his Atlanta studio was shot up. Northwest Atlanta officers found eight .40-caliber shell casings outside of a recording studio, following a shooting incident in the parking lot of Twelve Studios on Defoor Hills Road.

Police reports show that two women inside one of the studios, “heard (a) loud noise that sounded like fireworks but were actually gunshots.” One of the women said that she went to check on her vehicle when she saw shattered glass on the floor inside of the studio.

According to AJC, although there is a picture of Ross, along with two shovels, painted outside the studios, police claim that the shooting did not involve him directly.

“This isolated and random incident is not affiliated with Twelve Studios, any of our staff members or clients; including Rick Ross,” the statement reads. “This is the first time in over three years that we have been affected by any criminal activity regarding our property.”
