R&B songbird Ashanti seems to have gotten herself into a pickle over the holiday weekend. The Long Island native was booked for a club appearance at Mixx Lounge in Queens, leaving her die-hard fans to pay $40 a ticket for men and $25 for the ladies. Unfortunately, she never showed up.
Ashanti took to her Instagram account to explain that the promoter canceled the party and that the police shut the venue down along with a seemingly heart-felt apology. The promoter commented on her page, explaining that she’s lying and her whole explanation was BS.
What really happened was that the promoter realized it was going to be a light night, so he decided to cancel Ashanti’s appearance. For whatever reason she may have had, she was embarrassed and lied to her fans about the whole ordeal. With the quickness, her angered fans started going ham online, saying that she’s lying and that they have been waiting for her at the lounge for hours just to find out that she was a no-show. So odd that she would lie about something so silly but whatevs.
