Lauren Hill was scheduled to preform at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire for the Small Axe acoustic tour this Wednesday (July 15). However her touring itinerary no longer includes this show and has been replaced by one in France. According to Hill, the arrest and jail time she did back in 2013 for tax evasion, caused her to be banned from preforming in London.

The message she posted to her fans via Facebook read,

“I’ve been informed that I won’t be able to enter the U.K. for a period of time due to my past legal situation. For this reason I have to cancel my concert on July 15th,” she added, “Know that I was looking forward to performing in London this summer, and that I appreciate all of my fans and supporters both in London, and throughout the U.K. I look forward to seeing you again as soon as I’m able to.

What makes this all too confusing is the fact that the soulful singer preformed in London last year. She played five nights at the London’s Brixton Academy last September. Hopefully this matter can be figured out sooner than later. UK authorities have yet to speak on the issue.
