Since El Chapo made his elaborate escape, his name has been echoing all over the world. While Mexican officials have already put out a hefty reward for anyone who captures him, people like Pitbull, French Montana, rapper Casino and even shook Donald Trump have weighed in on drug lord’s million-dollar escape. Recently, Chicago rapper Lil Bibby shared his feelings about El Chapo, who he claims is like “a god.” Find out what he said after the jump!
In a recent interview for Vlad TV, Lil Bibby spoke with DJ Smallz on his take of the escape of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán from a Mexican prison. The Free Crack rapper explained why he thinks his friends were willing to put in the extensive work to free the drug lord. Bibby feels like his people, especially those who copped their drugs from him, were starting to feel the affects of their main connect being locked up.
“He’s a god,” said Bibby. “He put a lot of niggas on they feet. I heard he’s responsible for most of the drugs in North America.”
Bibby also revealed his thoughts on the possible capture of El Chapo. He thinks the notorious kingpin will most likely not be caught because of his net worth.
“He got too much money man. He got too much money put away. He’ll probably buy his own island where no one can get in.”
“El Chapo” was last seen around 9 p.m. last Saturday (July 11) as he entered the shower area of his cell. Once guards noticed he was missing, they went to look for him and found a 20-by-20-inch passage that led to a mile-long tunnel. Although he’s been reportedly taking photos on a plane, the search for the escaped convict has died down significantly.
