So unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you know that a lot has gone down in the rap and hip-hip world. Meek flew off the handle in a twitter rant that lead to him calling out Drake for having a ghost writer. Although Drake hasn’t directly responded to the beef we know he’s aware of the issue by messages posted between him and Hitman Holla and his producer, Noah ’40’ Shebib speaking out.

We’ve also gotten to know the alleged ghost writer himself Quentin Miller, who has quite a few credits on Drake’s last mixtape. Last night Funk Flex played Drake’s reference track written by Miller for the song ’10 Bands’ which are damn near identical.

In honor of the beef, here’s a #TBT video of Drake freestyling at HOT97 back in 2009. Hit the jump to watch.

Not too long ago, before the beef with Meek, Drake said that New York was irrelevant to being successful in the music industry…wether that’s true or not we can say that Drake got his start right here in NYC..Check out Drake’s freestyle at HOT97 from ’09 below.
