Joyce Mitchell, 51, waived her right to a trial Tuesday morning, after pleading guilty to charges of first-degree promoting prison contraband, a felony, and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal facilitation, according to ABC News.

The former Clinton Correctional Facility worker was arrested for her role in the escape of Richard Matt and David Sweat by smuggling hacksaw blades in frozen hamburgers, chisels, a punch tool and a screwdriver, which prisoners obviously used to break out.

2 1/3 years to 7 years in prison under terms of a plea deal with prosecutors. A sentencing date was not announced. Her lawyer said his client won’t be able to post the bail set by the judge at $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.

Mitchell linked up with the two escapees, at the time, and discussed her being their getaway driver as well as the killing of her husband, Lyle Mitchell. None of which went down because one, she backed out as driver and two, after being ‘free’ for two weeks, one of the prisoners is dead while the other got shot, caught and place back into custody.
