Late July, news broke that Joe Jackson was admitted into a Brazilian hospital after suffering from a stroke. The head of the Jackson clan has since been discharged.

Jackson, 87, was in Brazil celebrating his birthday when he suffered from the stroke. He was put on a pacemaker that regulates his heartbeat. Doctors at The Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo were waiting to see if all went back to normal [as much as possible] before releasing him on Monday, August 4.

The hospital declined to reveal any other information.

Paulo Andre Silva is a partner at Nexxing, the company that invited Jackson to Brazil. He says Jackson is resting in a Sao Paulo apartment and is expected to return to the United States on Saturday. His daughter Janet and his son Jermaine are with him.

Janet cancelled the Unbreakable World Tour to be next to her father throughout the entire process.
