Wednesday, Mariah Carey was honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. During the ceremony to honor Mariah, LA Ried, Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner all made speeches to celebrate. During Lee Daniels speech, he made a very special announcement that Mariah will be joining Fox’s hot series ‘Empire.’

Mariah Carey has just been added to the list of amazing celebrity cameos we can expect to see during season two of ‘Empire.’ Lee Daniels said during the Walk of Fame ceremony, “Watch her on ‘Empire,’ you guys. She’s coming on ‘Empire.’ ”
So far there is no indication on just what Mariah’s role will be in the show, however to see her star alongside Taraji P. Henson, just adds the building anticipation for the September 23rd premier. This is not the first time Carey has been under the direction of Daniels, they previously worked together on Precious in 2009 and The Butler in 2013.
