While Azealia Banks seems to be looking at this experience with a level head, we know it must hurt as an artist not being able to have the world listening to your craft creation. It looks like while she was going in on all other fellow artists, Banks should have been reading the fine print in her management contract. The very vocal femcee takes to Twitter to announce that she can not release any new material until March 2016.

“So prospect park has me for management and Label (stupid azealia, right) now Jeff kwatinetz no longer wants to manage me BUT … is holding me in my album contract until february 2016,” she tweets. “So …. there won’t be any new music until March 2016. sorry guys.”

Banks continued to reassure her listeners that things would be back to normal sooner than they think. It’s “not even a big deal,” she says. “It’s only like six months.” Keep telling yourself that girly.

Check out the gallery for Banks’ explanation.

Back in 2011, Kwatinetz filed a lawsuit against R. Kelly for breach of an oral contract. The former manager to the crooner said that during the peak of R. Kelly’s child pornography trial, he agreed to represent him as long as he received his 15% commission. That didn’t go as planned. Therefore, if Banks knows better, she’ll keep that music under lock-and-key.
