Kevin Durant will become a free agent in the summer of 2016 and he will have no shortage of suitors. His hometown Washington Wizards are named as major contenders and the incumbent Oklahoma City Thunder are hoping to retain their superstar. Durant has been trying to keep mum on his free agency plans but many of his interviews have shown a loyalty to OKC. He also has loyalty towards his teammate and friend Russell Westbrook.
It’s no doubt that Durant’s decision will be influenced by how well the Thunder play this year. They were faced with tons of injuries last season including losing both stars Durant and Westbrook. Should the team stay healthy this season they’re expected to and should go far. If not, Durant could be out there as he’s made it clear that he wants to win.
