This story surrounding Jared, the ex-subway representative, just keeps getting crazier. A new report says that the FBI was monitoring Jared for sometime and he apparently asked an informant if he could watch her kids on video!
It is sick to think that Jared is only facing about five years in prison when there are people in prison for committing non-violent crimes and are doing life! The terms of Jared’s plea agreement say that in exchange for pleading guilty to distributing & receiving child pornography and traveling to engage in unlawful sex with minors, he will face 5 five years in prison and prosecution will not go after the 12 year sentence. It is definitely sickening that the prosecution could not do much better than that, especially with the new details that are surfacing about the investigation that was done.
Rochelle Herman allegedly acted as an informant for the FBI after she had a concerning conversation with Jared about sexual relationships with minors. Once she tipped the FBI off, they asked her to continue getting information from him and even laced her with a wire! Over the course of four years, Rochelle wore a wire around Jared and received details that, even in acting, caused her to be uncomfortable knowing she had children at home.
In an interview, Rochelle says Jared asked her if he could watch her children–AT HER HOME–through hidden cameras in their rooms. “I had two young children at the time, and he talked to me about installing hidden cameras in their rooms and asked me if I would choose which child I would like him to watch,” Rochelle said about Jared and as crazy as that sounds, what type of act was she putting on that he would feel comfortable enough to ask her this? Informant or not, this is just sick all around.
Again, with all the evidence that the FBI gathered, how could he only be given a five year sentence? In addition to the five year sentence, Jared will pay $1.4 million to the victims in the entire scandal.
