The reminisce of Drake & Meek Mill’s “beef” was just about to fizzle out until rapper Neef Buck decided to speak up on the matter. The State Property MC shared his thoughts about the latest feud to plague Philadelphia. According to Buck, the beef reminds him of the notorious feud between Jay Z and Nas that caused a rift in New York City for years. Find out why he thinks their beefs are similar after the jump!

Philly rapper Neef Buck compared Drake & Meek Mill’s recent feud to the savage beef Jay Z & Nas had years ago. The State Property rapper claims he their witnessed the drama firsthand when both legendary New York MC’s were dropping off diss tracks like Hov’s “Takeover” and Nas’ “Ether.” He described when he was in the studio with Irv Gotti while he was producing “Super Ugly,” in which Jay took shots at Nas.

When he saw Drake and Meek’s drama unfold, Buck said that it was similar to the drama he came up in during the beginning of his career. In a sense, the “Back To Back” lyrical slaughter Drake delivered to Meek does follow a slightly similar pattern. However, Buck also said that he personally doesn’t like to see people vent on social media like Meek “Twitter Fingers” Mill does often.

“It’s a gift and a curse that social media,” Buck said. “It could benefit sometimes or it can take away from you.”

Later on, Buck explains how he began working with Meek and how he introduced him to Wale before they both singed to Maybach Music. Do you agree with Neef Buck that both beefs are similar? Watch the interview for the full explanation below.
