Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton issued a response Friday to an otherwise mundane Instagram post on Thursday that garnered some backlash and intimations that he was a “thug” or in a gang. Because you know, people have to make an issue out of anything.

Cam posted a picture with his friends in Mexico just having a good, fun time. Morons tried to go in on him for being a bad example and wanna be gang member or “thug”.
