Markieff Morris has not been shy in the least to display his displeasure with the Phoenix Suns after they traded his twin brother Marcus Morris to the Detroit Pistons.  Markieff went so far as to publicly declare on Twitter that he will not stay in Phoenix.  Well that cost him a pretty penny.

Today the NBA announced that Morris was fined $10,000 for “publicly demanding a trade”.

Morris signed a four-year extension last year and that $32 million deal will expire in the summer of 2019.  He averaged a career-high 15.3 points and 6.2 rebounds while starting 82 games last season and the Suns won’t just give him away because he’s unhappy.

If he isn’t dealt before the season starts, it’ll be interesting to see how things play out between him and the Suns.
