Although the first free issue of NME doesn’t hit the stands until Friday, the mag has given us a few details about their sit down with Rihanna and just what she had to say about her upcoming album.

Rihanna dished to the mag, “It’s not done!” adding, “To me it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment.” The ‘BBHMM’ singer is well aware that the fans are growing impatient and want new music from her now. She said,

“No matter what I post online, within three comments there’s somebody saying, ‘Where is ‘R8’?’ I could post anything. Nothing else matters. They don’t care about anything but that. But it makes me excited, because I can’t wait to give them something great.”

RiRi also revealed she’s been working with Kanye West on this album. According to her, part of the hold up is their hectic schedules. She said, “We just have to wait to get back in the studio together,” she continued, “His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we’ll be back in the studio.”

The brand new, FREE NME magazine launches on Friday (September 18) and will be distributed across Britain in 85 towns and 46 cities. You can also access the rest of this interview and more on NME.com
