The legendary Hip-Hop group A Tribe Called Quest, have announced to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album People’s Instinctive Travels And The Paths of Rhythm, they have teamed up with Sony Legacy for a massive re-relase. The album will be completely remastered and feature exclusive remixes from today’s hottest artist.These features will be artists that ATCQ feel have been a major influence on culture and their names will be released next week.

In a press release about the album Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad talked about what the album means to them still after all this time. Q-Tip said:

“I had this album in my head for years before I did it. Looking at it overall, to see the thoughts of a 16 year old gain any kind of acknowledgement makes me feel like I have arrived… But to see it in this incarnation. I’m humbled,”

Ali Shaheed Muhammad added:

“This album means a lot. It was the beginning of our careers; the beginning of our imprint; the beginning of seeing life the way we saw it, and being able to put it down in words and music.”
