The Oregon Ducks hosted the Utah Utes on Saturday night in a game that will be talked about for years to come. The Ducks lost by 42 points on their home field, but it was the fake punt return that really struck a nerve with the Oregon team.

The set up looked like any other punt return. The Utes were already up by 28 points as they plotted to add fuel to the fire. With two guys awaiting the kick, one returner pretended to prepare for the downfield catch. While defenders focused on the player who was falsely fielding the ball, Utah player, Boobie Hobbs caught the ball and ran it back for a 69-yard touchdown.

By the time anyone realized what was going on, Hobbs was already breezing by more than half of the defenders and making his way in for another 6 points.

The Utes, ranked number 18 in the nation before playing Oregon, went on to defeat the Ducks, 62-20. That game was only one of the blow-outs during this weekend of college football.
