Star running back for the Eagles, DeMarco Murray has been ruled out for Week 3 following a hamstring injury. Murray has been taking a beating very early on this season, standing behind a very fresh offensive line that does not seem to be on the same page. According to ESPN, Murray only gained 2 yards and totaled 13 carries in last week’s matchup against the Cowboys.

As if almost to add insult to injury, Jets cornerback, Darelle Revis will start today after nursing a groin injury earlier this week. Revis was seen as ‘probable’ for Sunday, but it was decided that he would start only hours before the game.

With Revis’s injury not looking serious and Murray out for this afternoon, the Eagles will have to do some adjusting if they want to come out on top. It is no question that the Jets CB will be looking to run every missed ball back to Revis Island, and the Jets overall defense has not been one to mess with lately.

The Eagles are the only team in the NFL to have never won a Super Bowl, but they are not the only team going into Week 3 as a winless team. It will be interesting to see which teams will overcome their competition and which will fall.
