From Rookie of The Year to third option QB, RGIII has found himself riding the bench and not suiting up for games. Prior to the season kicking off, reports indicated that Washington might be considering to move RGIII; however, it seems that they may be holding on to him for the remainder of the season.

This just seems like a waste of time for all parties involved. Washington is definitely wasting a check on a player who they are not utilizing and RGIII, well, he’s just wasting talent? Unfortunately, the decision to start Kirk Cousins over RGIII is not working out too well either. Kirk recently just threw as many picks as RGIII over his career span and he did it a less amount of games and ultimately gave the Giants their first win.

According to reports, Washington plans to keep RGIII on the roster for the rest of the season and it seems primarily because he has been a help to Kirk Cousins? Apparently, Washington has not reached out to any other organizations to trade RGIII. It seems that Washington is not sold on RGIII’s decline in production and that is mainly because he was the league’s Rookie of The Year back in 2012. They are probably thinking, if they trade him, it might come back to haunt them.

RGIII is making $16 million guaranteed, so I guess he isn’t too upset financially but he has to be itching to get on the field. He has been cleared to play since suffering a concussion during the pre-season but hasn’t sniffed the field since. In times like this, it would be great to have an opportunity to pick the brains of the coaching staff as well as the front office and see what the angle is for them.
